Have we all gone off the cliff?

Poll: Most Americans say tax dollars are wasted

"Seventy-four percent of people questioned say that a lot of their tax dollars are wasted by the government; 23 percent say that some of their tax dollars are misspent and three percent say that not much of their tax dollars are wasted."

Nearly half of US households escape fed income tax

About 47 percent will pay no federal income taxes at all for 2009. Either their incomes were too low, or they qualified for enough credits, deductions and exemptions to eliminate their liability. That's according to projections by the Tax Policy Center, a Washington research organization.

Poll Reveals Most Americans Don't Know They Got a Tax Cut

"We cut taxes for 95 percent of working families. We cut taxes for small businesses. We cut taxes for first-time homebuyers. We cut taxes for parents trying to care for their children. We cut taxes for 8 million Americans paying for college."

2. It is not only faux news.. it runs the whole gamut...
No wonder people are confused.. who can sort this stuff out. Small Business, 95% of working Americans get a tax cut..

But they jimmy these numbers every week for a "story"..

I think we need an "expose" on polls, media, who is behind it, and what the ramifications are.

Just the facts.

Because this stinks.

3. How can the idiot public be informed when the media fails to do their job.
It's sad and disgusting what has become of the U.S. media.

4. How do these stupid people not know they got a tax cut?
I guess you have to do it the way Bush did it: Spend millions sending out $300 checks to people. Filling out Schedule M obviously doesn't seem to have the same effect.

6. The only one that troubles me is the last one.
Most of us agree our government's priorities are skewed and thus our tax dollars are wasted on things that do not benefit us.
