We survived Bush. You’ll survive Obama.
Margaret, please tell Howard that I love him because he loves you. But that is about all the reaching across the aisle that I can handle. A few years back, millions of people across this nation and across the globe marched for peace. George Bush ignored us and we had to endure his lazy ass being in the White House for eight years.

So now a black man named Barack Obama, elected by the will of the people, has decided to fight for the poor, and work for world peace… and a bunch of white guys who think Fox really is News just can’t stand it.

Well, they can kiss my ass because I am tired of their belly aching.

This is exactly how our political system works. Sometimes your party is in and sometimes it is out. Your party is currently out. So shut the hell up and deal with it.

3. Funny how the fear of Obama outweighs fear
of terrorism, wars and economic disasters combined during the Bush years and causes Teanaggers to come out against the government now.

13. The ignorant paranoid fear
of President Obama is all in their heads via hateradio and corporatewhoredom like fauxsn00ze.

The corporatemedia manupulates and manufactures on a steady diet of fear..buying Obama fear was too easy for those who like their brains washed on a daily basis.

5. This is true but the teabaggers think "Obama socialism" is destroying America...
and if they dont stop it now, it will be too late. These lunatics think they are doing God's work and saving America from evil. They have been brainwashed by RW media and it will difficult to deprogram them now... especially as the brainwashing continues 7x24x365.

8. The text said what I was thinking whenever those Teabaggers would be paraded across the camera.

During the Bush Administration, I had to deal with conservatives bleating out in every political conversation, "Don't you love America?" Or, they would finger-wag and pronounce in a haughty tone, "Too bad. Get over it."

Even worse, if one would even dare to speak against the war or racism, the conservative would scream, "Stop whining! Nothing to see here!"

So, now they are upset that Barack Obama is POTUS and they're starting to flail their arms about kermit-style as their tightly, authoritarian-controlled world falls apart?

Too damn bad.

Then post it here.

Welcome to DU. Open your mind: I know the brain-cramp hurts at first, but it gets better with exercise.

As part of the exercise, I suggest going to the link and reading Helen Philpot's salty essays. She's Texan, over 80, and liberal. It doesn't get much better.

I mean it. Really.

14. In spite of their best efforts, they'll not only survive under Obama... they'll thrive

The recovering economy knows no party affiliation. They'll be better off too.

Even if they won't acknowledge it.

22. Our system is not working, sorry.
The shadow and damage of Bush will be with us for a long time. Obama will make some changes, put his finger in the dike on others, repair some things. Sure, better than the criminal alternative.

But WHY is this state of affairs good enough for you? Why do we have to accept extreme damage to our government and society and have people saying the system is working? There are no repercussions for the crimes of the Bush administration. That is the problem. That is how the tea baggers can believe in a new day their way. The way has been paved.

You're acting like it's a fair case of "sometimes your party is in, sometimes not" That's NOT the way the Rethuglicans think. Naive to think so. They use every opportunity. Fairness is not in their playbook, but they love to see people subscribing to it.

Dream on.
