BBC POLL: World warming to US under Obama - first time America's influence more pos than neg
World warming to US under Obama, BBC poll suggests

Views of the US around the world have improved sharply over the past year, a BBC World Service poll suggests.

For the first time since the annual poll began in 2005, America's influence in the world is now seen as more positive than negative.

4. Another reason the KKKtea bags and the radical republicans
hate Obama and the Democrats. They hated Clinton for that fact also. Just goes to show what kind of ignorants people the republican party.

7. 40% positive is more positive than negative?
Is this the same math that keeps the U.S. senate struggling against that pesky Republican majority? :D

11. That's just what I was trying to figure out.

I had to go to the full linked poll to make sure of what was going on. 46% of those polled say the U.S. has a mostly positive influence. 34% say it has a negative influence.

10. hmmm...
Maybe I'm not getting it...

If I'm reading the chart correctly, favorable opinion of the US has:

dropped from 2007-2008 to 2010 in Iran

dropped from 2008 to 2010 in Russia

dropped from 2008 to 2010 in China

dropped from 2008 to 2010 in EU

14. You're reading it wrong.
Unless you think the UK has consistently had a more positive outlook on the US than the US itself. These are favorability ratings for each country--not their feelings toward the US.
