If Crist Runs as an Indie, what should Kendrick Meek do?
Seem to me he has an increased chance to win in a three way, but so does Crist. And they would basically be competing for the game group White Moderates and White Dems.

No one is giving Meek much of a shot but obviously Crist would be better than Rubio. I am not suggesting he should pull out, but I am afraid his support might be limited to the AA population by and large and in the long run that is not a healthy position for the party/

1. He should probably just keep doing what he's doing.
It's a really tough call, but I think Crist would hurt Rubio more than he would hurt Meek.

2. Latest polling shows competitive three-way race that Meek could win. Dem strategists are said to be

increasingly excited about Meek's prospects. If Charlie Crist drops out, that would be bad for Meek. He needs them to fight it out all the way the late August primary.

A Senator Charlie Crist would, no doubt, caucus with the Republicans. That is not good for Democrats. One 'Lieberman for Connecticut' is enough!

3. Tell me about it. Many people here in CT regret voting for Lieberman.
Crist would be back and forth on the issues and not really trustworthy.

19. Hard to imagine Crist caucusing with the GOPers after a very ugly battle that is about to happen..
Its already happening.. Republicans all over are dropping him like a hot potato. Crist will probably caucus with the Dems since he likely will have no other choice.

4. He could win if Crist and Rubio trash each other.
This could be a very interesting 3-way down to the wire.

7. A 3-way is to Meek's advantage.
People who would vote for Meek aren't going to switch over to Crist just because he becomes an 'I'.

I don't care who wins as long as Rubio is kept out of the Senate.

10. Rob Jesmer: "zero chance Gov Crist continues running in the Republican primary"
Rob Jesmer, executive director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, sent an e-mail to national political operatives just before noon in which he also predicted that Crist will decide not to compete in the GOP primary against former state House Speaker Marco Rubio.

“We believe there is zero chance Governor Crist continues running in the Republican primary,” Jesmer wrote in the e-mail provided to CNN by a Republican source on the condition of anonymity."

11. There was just a poll out last week showing Meek only four-points down. We should support a real
democrat.

14. Polling *I* have seen recently showed Meek doing worse under a three way....
... but sorry I cant find it for you now.

Either way, I think he can do well enough that it's worth a shot.

15. Meek has a better chance if Crist Runs as independent. he might lose
but he will most likely lose for sure without Crist running.

at this point it's more about stopping Rubio.

16. as a floridian
i have to say meeks best bet is to fine tune his curriculum vitae
crist didnt stand a chance since 08 he is just the last to admit it
he will not "split"the GOP in florida as none of them see him as one of them

as for meek
sadly he is too dark for florida

and before you all jump me please remember i am just telling what is going on here where i am(IN FLORIDA)
if you know better from where you are(NOT IN FLORIDA)then please illuminate us with your wisdom

17. Meek is largely unknown outside of South Florida
But he is polling well in both a three-way race and in a head to head race against Rubio (close behind, just outside MOE in either scenerio). I don't think he should do anything different than he is - getting out, meeting groups, and saving his $ for the GE. While Crist and Rubio have been dominating the headlines, not all of it has been good.

18. Yes, I actually think that Dems have a potential for a pick up in FL
with Rubio and Crist hopefully tearing each other apart and Meek being above the battle and stressing issues. In a three-man race I think Meeks could win.
