...we need experience. Our state is a mess. Jerry Brown is a DEMOCRAT with lots of experience. He'll get things done and clean up the mess.

4. and Whitman has spent $39M so far!
I don't think Brown has even kicked his campaign into gear yet, or at least not until after the primary.

9. He hasn't
He's been sitting back and letting Whitman and Poisner blow their wads and accuse each other of being too "Librul".

7. JB needs to keep it simple
1. She was republican, and everything Republicans touch turns to Sh*t.
2. Why?
3. Because what the GOP really wants is..................(He's good at explaining the details in a short/concise manner)

If he does this over and over and picks good spots for tv and to rally, he's in. Just remind people what GOP governance means.

12. Jerry is the perfect Governor for this time in CA
He knows how to run for office. Meg's stage weight, a terrible candidate, and her image and reputation are ill suited to the mood of the State. I've never heard a good word about her from anyone. Not one. No one wants to have a beer with her. Much of CA would like to smack her with a sock filled with foreclosure notices and bull manure. Perhaps they will empower Jerry to swing the sock on their behalf!

13. Huffpo reports Meg Whitman was once thrown off Goldman Sachs board for 'taking bribes.'
Meg Whitman has a lot of money. She's mostly spent it on television advertising, and mailing half a million people a 48-page magazine about herself, but a few months ago there was a squalid mini-scandal when she used $20,000 to secretly buy off a conservative website called "Red County."

Meg paid $20,000 for $300 worth of advertising on "Red County." She cut the check a week after they fired a blogger who was secretly being paid $2,500 a month by Steve Poizner. This, of course, was exactly what Madison was hoping would happen when he came up with freedom of the press.

No one cared much at the time, because no one has ever read "Red County," except fans of communist pornography who sometimes add "o" to words by accident.

This week Meg Whitman is in a certain amount of trouble because Goldman Sachs is in the news -- and not in a good way -- and Meg was once shit-canned off their board for taking bribes. From them. It's complicated.

28. I hope they let her win the nomination, and then release Goldman dirt!
Don't release it too early and let one of the other GOPers get the nomination. If they have her taking bribes, better to wait until after she wins the nomination.

It would be great to see her lose big after spending so much of her own money on the campaign.

14. Jerry Brown's poor numbers last month could be attributed to a California Chamber of Commerce ad
The attack ad, labeled an issue ad, accused Brown of decades of overspending. It was taken off the air after four members of the chamber's board complained to the organization's chief. Four board members complained to Allan Zaremberg, the chamber's president and CEO, that the ad is a hit job that "undermines the chamber's credibility."

Never mind Pete Wilson sits on the CCC board and is Meg Whitman's political adviser.

26. Go JERRY!!! But---

There is another ad on all the time now similar to the Chamber of Scum one. It says the usual BS and is paid for by the Pug governor's committee or something stupid like that. I hope that CA does the right thing in November...

27. I haven't seen it yet but I'll keep my eyes open
The slugfest is really between Poizner and Whitman at the moment. Poizner ads have increased to counter the relentless Whitman attacks and appear to be hitting the target. His war chest may pale in comparison to Whitman's, but it's nothing to sneeze at - $19 million, and like Whitman, most of it from his own pocket.

17. Brown will only get a boost from the Marijuana legalization statute that is also up for a vote this
November.

The vast majority of the people that will vote YES on marijuana legalization will also vote for Jerry Brown.

Off-subject. Sorry. Couldn't help it.

I hope meg squanders all her money. Just what we need here in California - another republi-CON (even a softened-around-the-edges alleged RINO type like what we have now).
