2. Time for a visit
About time, can anyone tell me how long it took Bush to get to New Orleans? I hope it was longer, otherwise this isn't going to play well.

5. This is not a Katrina
This is an environmental disaster, but it's not the same. In Katrina people were suffering and dying, without food or water while Bush was in AZ celebrating McCain's birthday.

7. That is ridiculous.
Is an entire US city under water? Are a sub-class of Americans stranded and dying? That is a really stupid connection to try and make.

15. The rightwing has been trying to make that connection since the day
after this disaster happened. How they can equate the death & devastation of Katrina with this, is just beyond words.

13. Too bad your attempt to compare President Obama
and bush on this disasterous oil spill isn't going to take.

Facts don't bear it out.

16. Your post says a lot more about you & your mindset than it does about
this administration.

4. Good - he should've been there already imho.
Even tho he has sent members of his cabinet that deal directly with disasters (Napolitano, Salazar), politically he needs to be there.

8. Been *where*, already?
On a boat in the ocean?

The thing making it more dangerous is that it wasn't contained, and it's now hitting land.

21. I don't think there was anything to see down there until the past couple days
unless they were going to put him on a boat or something.
