1. May I suggest
boycotting whirlpool refrigerator and not dishwashers. They are made here in Findlay Ohio and they have put on several hundred more Ohio workers. They have also bought and reopened another small factory nearby.

6. You know what, NAFTA has been sucking jobs out of this country since Clinton signed it.
That's not going to stop until NAFTA is amended or ended completely. My husband's in manufacturing and his job has been directly affected by NAFTA on three different occasions (he just now found permanent employment a few weeks ago). So don't tell me what's 'equal' and what's not about Americans losing jobs, I fucking know this drill all too well.

It's not just republicans to blame--it's the fucking corporatist democrats as well.

5. Um, no.
I'm already boycotting Home Depot for donating to RW douchebags, but I'm not going to boycott Lowes. I may write to them and express my displeasure but am not going to boycott them over this.

13. Well that too--they turned into Circuit City and screwed
their seasoned employees over (and yes, we boycotted CC as well for that).

7. Whirlpool makes Sears, Ikea, and Thermador brand appliances
And just about every appliance store except the very high end will sell Whirlpool (whether it says Whirlpool or not). I'm sorry. Don't buy a Whirlpool refrigerator, but it is entirely impractical for people to boycott stores that sell them. They couldn't shop for appliances anywhere but the Sub-Zero dealer.

12. No.
- don't believe in boycotts as they mostly just hurt the little guy.
