Manhole Fire Next To New York Times

Stopped me from going to work today, so i can't do my 7.25 / hour job

Repukes will blame Big O


An exploding manhole on West 40th Street in Midtown shot flames three stories high at 1:40 p.m. Monday, and at least one other manhole cover blew off, fire officials said.

2. DC hat the same problem about 7 or 8 years ago it was caused
by water shorting out the old worn out wires in the tunnels. The covers were blown out and fire erupted. The had to replace a lot of wiring.

9. I'm a native Michigander....but I lived in New York for 4 years.
The rats in the No. 7 tracks under Grand Central looked like capybaras.
