1. The last thing this administration wants is a liberal fighter.
(Besides, Karlan has a bad case of Teh Gay. The Republicans might object to her, and we can't have that, now can we?)

2. Frpn whaqt I understand, the ideal nominee will not be a fighter, but
someone who can convince some of the other justices that she's correct and get them to move to her point of view. A fighter only creates stronger division.

5. The nominee will be someone that republicans approve of which is the point. Obama is still
more worried about republicans than he is of actually changing anything. Karlan would be perfect.

3. Support highly. Goodwin Liu and Diane Wood are also very well qualified.
Well done, Lefty. :)

8. She's not an originalist....
That tends to upset the folks who think maintaining the disorganized militia, replete with military grade hardware (or more, for the anti-Miller crowd), is a right, though I haven't yet found anything specific from her on the topic.

I'll look some more.

10. The Chicago gun ban ruling should be by June
We'll see how that goes and where she stands.

7. I'm impressed.
Our first GLBTQ Supreme would have been one hell of a fight, but worth it.
