Late hits mar Senate race
Mike Lee was portrayed as Hitler, and on the opposite side, as Joseph Smith. Cherilyn Eagar claims her Web site was hacked, Tim Bridgewater fears he is the subject of a negative push-poll and Sen. Bob Bennett is the target of gun owners.

With only hours left until delegates pick the Republican U.S. Senate nominee, campaigns say last-minute dirty tricks are muddying the political waters in Utah's most high profile race.

One of the latest attacks came in the form of an online video, with recreated subtitles from a 2004 movie about Adolf Hitler's last days, "Der Untergang," with Lee cast as the fascist dictator who is complaining about his campaign release of a report on his personal finances.

That comes days after another video depicted LDS Church founder Joseph Smith morphing into Lee.

"To have the spectrum from Hitler to Joseph Smith, it's mind boggling," says Lee's campaign manager, Ryan McCoy, who doesn't point fingers at rival campaigns. "They're happening from overzealous supporters. But it's disgusting."
