The NY (COM)POST write-up is hilarious.

Obama won't golf with Limbaugh

When President Obama was asked if he would play a round of golf with his talk-radio nemesis Rush Limbaugh, the response, relayed by a top Democrat, was: "Limbaugh can play with himself."

This is according to Zev Chafets in his new book, "Rush Limbaugh: An Army of One," due May 25 from Sentinel.

The caustic comeback is another example of the verbal venom between the White House and the conservative radio star. In an interview with CBS News last month, Obama called the views spelled out by Limbaugh and Fox News Channel's Glenn Beck "troublesome."

Rush Limbaugh Chafets reports he encouraged Limbaugh to reach out to the president just after last July's "Beer Summit" that Obama hosted between Professor Henry Louis Gates and Sgt. Joseph Crowley, the Cambridge cop who arrested Gates after he locked himself out of his own home.

"You guys are both golfers," Chafets told Limbaugh. "Would you play a round with the president and show the country that there are no hard feelings?"

"He's the president of the United States," Limbaugh told Chafets. "If any president asked me to meet him, or play golf with him, I'd do it. But I promise you that will never happen. His base on the left would have a s--t-fit."

"How about letting me ask?" Chafets said.

"Go ahead," Limbaugh said. "Nothing will come of it."

1. First of all, Limbaugh is irrelevant
Second, I don't believe a word of this.

3. The DJS on a morning show on a local radio station was laughing about this today.
And wondered with "what" Rush would play with if he had to play with himself, if you know what I mean.
And they made fun of Palin's new book that she is going to write. I have a new favorite morning show in CT (96.5). Never knew they disliked idiot conservatives.

11. I'll have to tune into that station. I've been listening to NPR ever since Stephanie Miller's show
became unattainable...NPR has some good shows and I learn an awful lot from listening to them...it almost makes me want to have a long commute somewhere...

20. 96.5 is an FM station and usually just plays top 40 music.
Edited on Wed May-12-10 05:51 PM by Jennicut
Doesn't play the constant dance club stuff that 95.7 or KC101 play. I usually listen to Gary Craig in the morning on 96.5. I think he has been off and on radio since I was a kid. I had no idea he and the other DJs on there dislike Rethugs so much. Then again, it IS CT. Ironically, Glenn Beck once was on K101 in the morning when I was in high school in the early 90's. I remember him and he came off as strange back then. And he lived in Cheshire at the time, the same town as me.

23. I'll try it but I do like NPR's stuff. It's very informative.
I think their subject matter is pretty interesting. I like back and forth debate and I like to hear it on their call in programs. Their experts are wonderful too. I like being in CT so I can hear these programs....

4. "talk-radio nemesis"
Edited on Wed May-12-10 08:24 AM by YOY
Yes, the president of the United State's "nemesis" is a fat fuck shock jock who hides behind the term "entertainer" and tells idiots their opinion for millions of dollars a year. The fucker who never debates anyone?

Wow...that some real "nemesis" action going on there.

Talk about giving the gas bag more power than he actually has.

(Com)Post indeed...that's some serious journaljism.

one of the best I've heard in a while was on Family Guy

(paraphrasing)

"Meg - we'll make you so attractive you'll be beating off the guys with both hands" - Peter Griffin

-90% Jimmy

ps - the DU spell checker can't handle "entendre" ?

17. This road the President is going down is the kind where he should just turn arouind and go back.

Sparring with those fucks just brings him way way way down to their level,
and does no good whatsoever for him, does not advance the ball one inch.

Utterly stupid tactic.

19. I'm
I'm more curious about this new book. Wonder if it will be a pro or anti Limbaugh book. Wonder if the author goes into Rush's drug abuse or his past in any detail. WOnder if there is any dirt, stuff we never heard before. The again, it could be a fluff piece praising Rush. If Rush knows the author,I'm sure it will be all kind words.
