What Do Rand Paul, Louis Farrakhan, and Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia Have in Common?
Edited on Fri May-21-10 07:36 PM by jefferson_dem
In 62 years, they are the only individuals to cancel a scheduled interview on Meet the Press.

Asked what reason the Paul camp gave for canceling, Fischer says the Meet crew was told "that he's had a long week, he's tired, and he's very sorry and he needs to cancel."

"We tried to impress upon them that this is a big deal," Fischer continues. "The only other two people to cancel have been Louis Farrakhan and Prince Bandar of Saudi Arabia."

By the way, don't forget about tomorrow's "Unity Breakfast", which the KY gNOp had previously scheduled. McConnell and Grayson have already committed to it...and Paul hasn't back out of that one yet. I hope there's a really eager press pool hanging around. Good times!

5. Is it me, or is Rand Paul imploding literally overnight?
This is bizarre (but fun) to watch.

8. Rasmussen tossed out one of his bogus polls that showed Rand with a lead of 25%
Oops.

It'll be interesting to watch how those numbers get manipulated downward.

10. A true teabagger, or as Palin likes to say, "Real American"
Would be delighted to be the center of attention and salivating to keep on message. Can you imagine Sarah backing down from crazy? Rand Paul is turning out to be a wuss.

13. He was too "exhausted" to tape the show today, but he appeared at today's "unity" rally with...
full vim and vigor.

I say Rand Paul's campaign was lying through their teeth.

14. He's tired.
Well gee, maybe he should drop out now because he's not going to be getting any rest for the next few months.

Politicking is hard work.

15. This is the sort of thing I expected when I first heard him speak
He's a whispy, brittle daddy's boy, who is used to working in a very tightly focused little pond. Look for more of the same. He's frightened.
