Presser Prelude to Tomorrow
Watching C-Span's coverage of President Obama's press conference on Thursday to me showed him to be up to speed and determined to end this Gulf disaster. He clearly gets it that many structures, both governmental and technological were not in place. He also showed a very humanistic side in speaking about the animal/plant/human life that will forever be impacted.

I think he's gonna let loose big time tomorrow. And I think we'll be proud of him and hopeful again.

2. An unrec?
Ban on offshore drilling extended to 6 months. That's a good start, yes?
I wish he had gotten out in front of this sooner publicly, but I have no doubt he was focused right from the day of the explosion.

5. No need for him to have to defend against the accusations which then would come
that his appearance in NO would only be a photo op.

We have been screaming for a photo-Op....
but I don't think we have been screaming for an "In our face" Photo-OP!

6. The naysayers will be out in full force
But at least Obama will NOT be photographed peering out of an airplane window or in front of an orchestrated setting like (ahem) someone else we know. I predict he'll deliver a whallop of an address.
