South Carolina Democrats Try to Push Nominee Out -- Ruh Roh.. Mr. Alvin Greene has a criminal record
It's (more) official. South Carolina is a political basket case.

South Carolina Democrats Try to Push Nominee Out

The South Carolina Democratic Party is now trying to push Alvin Greene (D) -- their newly-minted Senate candidate who basically didn't campaign -- out of the race after it was revealed that he was "recently charged with disseminating, procuring or promoting obscenity after showing obscene photos to a University of South Carolina student."

A statement: "We are proud to have nominated a Democratic ticket this year that, with the apparent exception of Mr. Greene, reflects South Carolina's values. Our candidates want to give this state a new beginning without the drama and irresponsibility of the past 8 years, and the charges against Mr. Greene indicate that he cannot contribute to that new beginning. I hope he will see the wisdom of leaving the race."

And if I didn't know better, I'd think it was an SNL or Daily Show skit.

3. Here's what I find ironic about this whole thing......
The very same people going crazy about this are the ones falling all over themselves to justify the theft of the Arkansas primary by the incumbent Republican plant in that state.

Guess some Republican plants are better than others?

And South Carolina continues their bid for the title of "most fucked up political state in the USA", leaving Florida in the dust.

5. Well, Virginia's just a whole different planet.
And Georgia? 100% Diebold thefts "and goddamn proud of it". Pretty much the entire old confederacy could probably qualify to one extent or another, but there's no question that South Carolina is going for the title this year.
