Is it all for show, or will Democrats finally move on public financing for their campaigns? If we had an informed and engaged electorate, it would not be necessary to counteract special interests and their outsized influence on what happens in Congress--outsized because their lobbyists serve as fundraisers and keep campaign coffers filled. Molly Ivins called this system of ours'legalized bribery.'

If not now, when? If not Democrats, who? It sure as hell won't be Republicans who live to serve big monied interests.

4. Democratic leadership, the clock is ticking.
Will you let this legislation die, once again?
