Woo-hoo! Big demand for the NISSAN LEAF (all electric car) in U.S.
I looked into this car and may get one myself - a caller on Big Ed's radio show said he tried to get one and there are 20,000 people ahead of him.

The Dept. of Energy has provided them with a grant.

I so hope our country can turn the horror of this Gulf disaster into hope for the future!

1. I want to get a used Leaf once it's three years old. Most of the depreciation is in the 3 years. n/t

3. Too bad it's not a Ford Leaf. Or a Chevy Leaf. Or a Dodge Leaf.
Or better yet, too bad the Tesla Roadster still costs so goddamn much. Now there's an electric car!

9. Isn't Tesla coming out with a Lexus-type sedan?
I thought I read that they are working on a ~ $40K range sedan.

Is there an update on that?

11. Good thing it has a rebate of $7,500--since cost is $32,780.
The Volt will need a rebate as well, as it will cost even more up front.

Chevy Volt

Onboard gas generator means more range and less batteries to lug around.
