I was hoping for more. No one makes better speeches than BO, but substance and a viable plan of action is needed. Unfortunately, it wasn't there.

14. Usually, I feel uplifted from his speeches.
This one left me wondering what the hell he was talking about. Prayers? What good is that going to do? And very vague about any details on the how and why on anything. Hell, vague is being generous, he didn't give any details at all. Not good. D.

32. Hear hear.
I am really, really tired of the whole grading concept. Grade this movie, grade that speech, grade this person so we can gauge your dissatisfaction.

I'm glad I watched the speech. I'm still glad I voted for this man in the primaries and general election of 2008.

37. I give him a B. He spoke straight forward, and honestly.
I believe the fund creeated to oay the people of the Gulf States will help a lot and it will eliminate the foot dragging by the co. BP chose to fullfull claims. I was surprised when he said the local Governors actually assign the dispatched National Guard to the work they need done. I'm GLAD because the Gov's should know what's needed better than the Feds do. For some reason, when I heard Obama has dispatched National Guard troos the other day, I foolishly assumed that the Feds were going to tell them what to do.

There are many things going on that few of us hear about, and a 15 min. speech can't cover them either. ie: A Co. based in the town where I live has a contract for restraining & removing oil from the waters in the Gulf, and the only reason I know about it is that it was highlighted in our paper yesterday.

39. B+. A bit too much time on the renewable/clean energy legislation. Could have given more detail
on the next two weeks or so. High score because of his promise on the Gulf Restoration program and the BP fun handled by a third party. He was realistic about limitations on technology.
