Ed Schultz is NOT trashing Obama's speech
in fact he trashed the media who criticized the speech. Said this was not a SOTU speech.

Ed is calling the speech a victory for Obama on the escrow account. Ed said Obama did more in 60 day window to kick oil company ass than any other president.

Posted this for those of you thinking Ed would follow KO & Tweety in trashing the speech.

1. I wish Ed has been on the panel with emotionally unstable Keith and double standard Matthews.

16. I expected more from KO that what I saw last night.
His performance was downright embarassing and now he's serving as a handy "useful idiot" for the right wing haters. Bah. Sounds like Ed's the only grown-up at MSNBC.

bluster and full of himself I suppose it is.
sure he has some good days but overall I just find him a bit 'smelly' or something.

4. Ed is right. It is not a SOTU address, and it wasn't for pundits or political junkies.
Once again, I talked to my husband (who barely watches the news and political boards, forget it). He got the main message of needing to move away from oil.

5. I'm listening to Ed right now
I'm feeling a bit guilty right now for losing my faith in President Obama after the speech last night.

12. Olberman had Markey on last night, clearly assuming
that Markey would agree with the Olbermann/Tweety assessment of the speech. Oops. Not so much.

15. I watched the entire Obama speech last night and found it lame
I'm Chair of my DTC, voted for Obama in CT's primary and general election, and was totally unimpressed with his speech last night. The last part with the prayer crap was totally stupid. This disaster was man made, not a Act of God or Mother Nature. It was human hubris and greed aided and abetted by both Bush's and Obama's Admins. Granted Obama is finally getting around to cleaning out MMS, but it's not like Progressives didn't warn him beforehand.
