"Its going to take 3 years to get the country to the point we can accomplish anything"

This was one of the many sentiments expressed while I was on vacation.. Th administration has accomplished more than I thought would be possible with the challenges we had coming in. That was before the oil spill..

So it may be 3 years of trying to get us to a starting point that "we" can all recognize..even if we have accomplished other things.

The Bush/Cheney people left us with such an unholy mess, that just keeps falling apart.. while there is so much to clean up and do.. I wish we could press more what we have been able to accomplish with the media.

If you remember the movie Telefon, it was about an evil fucker who looked a lot like Cheney, terrorizing the country with sleeper agents that had been programmed 20 years earlier. I'll bet 2030 will roll around and they will still be pulling Cheney's soldiers out of the jungle, just like Japanese soldiers in the Philippines after WWII.

from Reaga & the Bushies. I'm going to be 67 soon, my sons are 45 & 42, and I question if THEY will ever live to see the mess really fixed.

Change especially with civil service protections. Who knows if these people are qualified for the job. If you don't want regulation you will pick a know nothing regulator after all.
