DEVELOPING: President Obama is expected to make remarks on Gen. McChrystal at 11:35 a.m.
Per tweet from Washington Post. http://twitter.com/WashingtonPost

So, we got about 40 minutes to guess what will happen. Apparently, there will be a meeting on Afghanistan at about 11:45. But Obama is speaking before then to the media. You guys draw your own conclusions.

7. Actually, he apologized to VP Biden Monday night
Biden reportedly didn't have a clue what McChrystal was talking about as he was heading back home on Air Force 2 at the time and had not even heard of the article yet.

Plus I've been spending more time reading books than watching the news shows.

This is good news.

13. I believe the Nat'l Security meeting begins at 11:35; remarks after
It could be short--or it could be an hour or two. The main thing seems to be that McChrystal is not in attendance, after having flown 20 hours to get there. Looks like a sign to me.

15. Stupid Wa Post!
President Obama will NOT be speaking on Gen. #McChrystal at 11:35 a.m. The White House says @AP's initial alert was inaccurate. Stay tuned.

But still no McChrystal.

14. I think that report is wrong. MSNBC just reported the MEETING will start at 11:35. But nobody
has reported seeing McChrystal going back to the WH to ATTEND that meeting (which he was supposed to do).

18. No respect for the president!
This guy clearly had no respect for the president. Possibly, not even for the office of the presidency. I wonder who else they'll be able to hand off this nightmare too. McChrystal may be glad he's gone. Now, he can run his mouth all day long...oh wait, he's still in uniform. NOT THAT - THAT EVER STOPPED HIM FROM TALKING BEFORE.

Good grief. Was it just a general lack of personal discipline? I thought it was his military strategy, we were pursuing, in the first place. Is it a bit of military elitism, realizing that the President has never served, but is in charge of the military? What was it that kept that man's mouth moving so freely...ego, insanity, what?
