1. I thought he wanted to kiss and hug POTUS also. Saying how strong
and decisive the President was. He's a happy camper, and actually I am too. Petraeus is right man for the job, just hope the job is going to end starting in 6/11...

Obama on this... Liarman is a pragmatist, after all.

The point has not escaped me that Petraeus is staking his reputation on that which seems like a lost cause. Perhaps, just perhaps, he will find a way to make lemonade out of this--and get us the hell out of there. My hope, whether realistic or not...:shrug:

11. Yes, a president shouldn't exert civilian control over the military--he should have kept him
despite the dressing down of the civilian administration and his commander-in-chief. Obama did the right thing.
