Thumbs up to Rep. Weiner.
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/07/30/weiner-enraged-on-house-floor/?fbid=xbiSF6phtci&hpt=Sbin

In a dramatic one-and-a-half minute speech, the New York congressman excoriated Republicans for mounting their opposition to the bill's passage on their inability to offer amendments to it.

"It's Republicans wrapping their arms around Republicans rather than doing the right thing on behalf of the heroes," Weiner said. "It is a shame. A shame! If you believe this is a bad idea to provide health care–then vote no! But don't give me the cowardly view that 'Oh if it was a different procedure'…"

Republican Rep. Peter King, also of New York, drew fire from Weiner when he tried to interject midway through the Democrat's tirade.

"The gentleman gets up and yells, trying to intimidate people into believing he's right–he is wrong!" Weiner shouted. "The gentleman is wrong! The gentleman is providing cover for his colleagues rather than doing the right thing!"

Thumbs up to Representative Weiner for placing the true enemy in the cross-hairs and attacking the true denier of progress. I don't totally appreciate his demeanor on the House floor, but at least he's placing his anger in the right place. We need more progressive Congressional leaders going after the right people.

5. If we are frustrated with the "party of NO,"
I can't begin to imagine how frustrating it must be for those who have been fighting long and hard for the American people. No matter how many compromises the Democrats make to try to get the repukes on board, result in a no vote from the repukes. Then, the repukes try to justify their vote by calling it "procedural" rather that what we know it really is. They don't give a damn for the American people. All they care about is their next election and doing all they can do to bring down President Obama. I am so freakin sick of these hypocrites. I really think it is worse now than ever before.

8. I really want to make a joke
About it not being the first time Republican assholes have been torn up by a Weiner, but it would probably be in bad taste.

10. Weiner for Steny Hoyer
Weiner needs to be in a leadership position. Hoyer needs to fucking retire and become a lobbyist instead of shilling for them.
