If the government can't fund it's OWN people how can it fund other countries?

Something doesn't add up.

Due to the recession:

we can't fund health
we can't fund schools
we can't fund training for our workers
we can't fix the roads
we can't fund this and that and the other

so this government has to rein back funding programs from overseas. Stop programs for missile shields for other countries. Bush's ill conceived programs have to be overturned NOW!

We are going to find ourselves unable to do anything for anyone if this business doesn't end.

If we could just stop, even for a little while, and make ourselves stronger, we'd be a lot more use to the world.

bribe people to be on our side.

They even give cash to soldiers to bribe the people on the
ground level. Someone was whining about 9 million lost dollars.
Has anyone kept up with the cash outlays??

Go figure. In essence we are borrowing from China to
defend markets for Japan & China & others. All these countries
have surplus trades with us. Asinine comes to mind.

cash in those bonds they are holding. Or even worse, start selling them off at pennies on the dollar and sink our currency along with our economy.
