When will the White House "walk back" Gibbs's comments?
If they stay true to form, they have planned out Act II of this skit. Who's it going to be sucking up to the left and "walking back" what Gibbs said? David Axelrod?

1. Probably not for a while...there seems to be a meme in the WH that bashing "the left"
is good for business. Not sure they'll ever be smart enough to know that it isn't.

2. Yeah, it's all politics. This was to build their ConservaCred.
The WH doesn't want Indys and all of their conservaDem buddies thinking they actually hold liberal values. But, they can't do it without us, either. I bet you are right. They WH will be talking out of both sides of its mouth shortly.

4. Today's press briefing should be interesting. I'm sure Gibbs will
be asked about this and I'm curious to see if he backtracks at all.

5. Honestly. If I wanted to hear that kind of criticism, I'd petition for the return of Ari Fleischer.

7. I think they are so tone deaf at this point they wont walk it back that much
We know how they feel about us, by now. I just wonder how they plan on getting him reelected?

9. But he didn't retract his original point
He softened the language because of the predicatable freakout that people would run around outraged that they were told to get drug tested. As if he was speaking to them personally.
