Robert Gibbs should be awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom
The White House is simmering with anger at criticism from liberals who say President Obama is more concerned with deal-making than ideological purity.

During an interview with The Hill in his West Wing office, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs blasted liberal naysayers, whom he said would never regard anything the president did as good enough.

“I hear these people saying he’s like George Bush. Those people ought to be drug tested,” Gibbs said. “I mean, it’s crazy.”

10. The professional Left, like FDL only want to add to their coffers.....
and be proved correct. The issues don't matter that much to them....
they're in it for the personalities. They deserved a kick in the ass,
after dishing it out as long as they have. Too bad they can't take it.....
I call them thin-skinned. They can call this administration every name in the book,
and feel so entitled, that they don't believe that they have the right to be
criticized back. Well, they are wrong.

12. I will share your post with everyone I know
I am sure they will be very motivated this November to spend time with their families, and trying to eke out a living, than to spend days knocking on doors to GTVO.

9. Look - If This Is All About This Gibbs Statement You Quoted In Your Post......
where he says “I hear these people saying he’s like George Bush. Those people ought to be drug tested,” Gibbs said. “I mean, it’s crazy.” I agree.

President Obama is nothing like Bush even on his bad days. There is no comparison to Bush. Obama runs circles around Bush. Bush will go down as one of the worst presidents in history. Obama might not go down as the best president in history - but he is light years in front of Bush. So any liberals out there that compare Obama to Bush and think he is like Bush - are really way out and frankly might be on drugs. I support this Gibbs statement and feel his frustration.

Now I may not like everything that Obama has done since being elected - but know darn well that he is nothing like Bush. Look this country gave Bush 2 terms to make a mess of it. I know it has been said many times before here on DU - but Obama can't undo the years/decades of everything the Repugs did that we aren't happy with in 18 months or even in 4 years. But to condemn Obama and compare him to Bush is just simply wrong.

11. Gibbs, however, has a history of blasting liberal Democrats going back to 2004
The ad slowly moved in on a Time Magazine cover featuring bin Laden, zooming in on a close-up of Osama's eyes, while saying that Howard Dean was an unqualified Democratic candidate because of his lack of military or foreign experience.

Tricia Enright, who was the spokeswoman for Howard Dean at the time, summed the ad up best, saying: "Whoever is behind this should crawl out from underneath their rock and have the courage to say who they are." But Robert Gibbs, who was the spokesman for the group, embraced the slime ad against Dean, and refused to say who had funded the ad. Now sure, you can say that Gibbs was just doing his job. But Gibbs wasn't just aligned with the group, he was in the leadership. The group took seed money from crooked former Senator Robert Torricelli to get off the ground, and then went out and raised over a million to run the ad. Gibbs was one of three people that made that ad happen.

Running an ad like this is something you'd expect from Herr Decider and his cronies - never from one claiming to be a Democrat.

Hails and props to madfloridian for unearthing this inconvenient truth.

20. GO GIBBS!!
:yourock:

The White House has smacked the Repubs more than a few times this year calling them the "party of No" and talking about how they drove the country off a cliff. Now it's time to go after the 19 members of the Perpetually Perturbed "left."
