Will Boehner's drinking problem be an issue this fall?

He's been called out in the past, but it remains under the radar.

2007 on Politico.com:

Boehner cries again, getting a rep as a 'weeper'

House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) cried again on the House floor today, this time while delivering a floor speech on the Iraq funding bill.

While the issue was serious and somber, this is getting to be something of a habit for the Ohio Republican. One of his GOP colleagues noted that Boehner cries more often later in the day. Go figure, eh.

Link to post and video of Boehner crying on the floor (hiccup included):

1. I'm worried that Boner's drinking will affect his golf game.
Wouldn't want that!

11. It seems to affect how he dresses in the morning

He forgot to put his socks on before this interview.

He also thinks there is no wildlife in the Arctic Refuge, rather it's a barren arctic desert as anyone who has been there would know, according
to him. Either someone needs to educate him, or he needs to get off the booze.

Wikipedia:

The refuge supports a greater variety of plant and animal life than any other protected area in the Arctic Circle. A continuum of six different ecozones spans some 200 miles (300 km) north to south.

20. ROFL
That looked unprofessional. Wearing a blazer and tie, but having no socks on really doesn't look good.

14. This is the "read between the lines" moment
"One of his GOP colleagues noted that Boehner cries more often later in the day."

Ahem. That's a polite way for Politico to say what it really means, that Boehner is an "I-love-you-man!" kinda drunk.

but I certainly called Gibbs out on his offensive snark. And I'm calling you out on yours.

Boehner is a drunk and an asshat, but that doesn't make Gibbs right.

22. I think Gibbs' comment was dumb

But to drag out the issue when important elections are coming up and even dumber. No need
to call me out. You said so yourself, you're not a whiner. I was talking about the posters who
refuse to let it go and, btw, are absent on anti-repug threads.

24. It should be, but I doubt it.
His drinking seems to be a subject of good natured joking in the media, but there seems to be no hard calling out. There should be because the last thing this nation needs are more drunks in government. If he were shooting up heroin or smoking crack, it would not be tolerated.

25. What was he crying about?
was he crying that the troops were to come home and they couldn't procede to Iran and war without end.
A person like this is not fit for office and should be removed forthwith.

26. The MSM isn't interested in Republican peccadilloes
He'd have to choke out Sean Hannity in a drunken rage to get attention, and then they'd just write it off the stress of dealing with that dictator Socialist Obama.
