The critics cannot rewrite history

President Obama fulfilled his promise to withdraw combat troops by the end of August 2010.

The previous claims that he would fail to meet his goal or that he had no intention of fulfilling his promise were completely inaccurate speculation, not even deserving of footnotes in anything written about the end of the U.S. combat mission in Iraq.

History records this moment as one of President Obama's achievements.
