President Obama gets rid of W's "Ruggy"
Edited on Thu Sep-02-10 09:06 AM by Botany

Bush's Ruggy .... W used to play Army for hours on that rug.
***********************

THE Oval Office has had a makeover. When President Barack Obama addressed the nation on Iraq, he did so from redecorated surroundings.
The fresh look is angular and tends towards neutral hues of browns and taupe.

Gone is the sunburst rug president George W. Bush loved so much that was designed by his wife, Laura. In its place is a mostly wheat-and-cream
carpet featuring the presidential seal ringed with five quotations selected by Mr Obama - four from former presidents (Lincoln, Kennedy and the
Roosevelts) and one from Dr Martin Luther King.

The yellow brocade sofas have been replaced with two custom-made couches of brown cotton that looks like velvet, woven with red, white and blue
threads. They face a boxy coffee table fashioned from American walnut and mica, with a fruit bowl as its centrepiece. The wallpaper is now gold and
yellow.

(BTW this make over was done @ no cost to the American taxpayer and President Obama waited 1.5 years for the make over
until he was on vacation so he could get right to work on all the problems W left him ..... BTW 2 all materials were American made too)
