4. This second rig was almost twice as far from the coast as the first one...
.... will this affect our ability to stop it? I guess it's better that it's farther from the coast line.

deep water is the environmentalists won't let them drill on the coast or AWR.:sarcasm:

MSNBC TV reporting it is not a production rig, it's a platform. On fire. Mariner Energy owns rig. West of BP site in 2500 ft of water. Coast Guard rescue helicopter on scene now.
