1. They're going after him?
That means they must be afraid of him. He must be doing something right!

2. They are going after him because Ed speaks LOUDLY for working Americans
I love Keith and Rachel, but Ed is doing a terrific job championing working class Americans AND he is fluent in "Joe and Jane Lunchbucket" speak. The Conartist-conservatives had hijacked that language to shove anti-worker candidates down this nation's throat, but Ed is helping to wake the masses about the con job the Rethugs and Corporcrats have waged against them.

3. they don't want him to show up their latest propagandist
I hope he does it - and coordinates it with the Oct 2nd march on Washington. I'm seeing groups here in Atlanta calling for marchers now - let's do it!

4. I'm OK with Ed but honestly
Do we need to be all My Mob Is Angrier Than Yours? Our Loudmouths Are As Loud As Yours? All the anti-war rallies I went to ended up kind of taken over by radical elements (ANSWER et al) even though "regular folks" made up most of the crowd we all ended up tagged as the weirdest few people there on the corporate media anyhow. I would rather make fun of the teabaggers than compete with them in baggin'.

5. There is going to be a rally
I just got an email saying there is going to be a rally in DC on 10-2-10.

of Central New York

Get on the Bus in Syracuse for the DC Rally March in Washington, DC

JOBS, NOT WAR!

When: October 2, 2010

Cost of Bus: The bus ride is free but you must register

How: Contact Jerry Loteirzo at 243-9823 for more details.

Thanks and peace,
Peace Action of Central New York
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

On October 2, 2010 (10-2-10), hundreds of thousands of people from all over
the United States will participate in an historic march in Washington, DC to
ensure a future of hope and unity for our nation.

This past year, we have heard a lot from the so-called tea party movement
in the United States. The tea party is a movement but it is an Astroturf
movement because it is funded by corporate interests that manipulate people
to believe that increased government intervention is the reason that their
lot has gotten worse over the past 3040 years. The reality is that the tea
party movement is not entirely wrong. For example, they rail against bank
bailouts and other wasteful acts of government spending. Currently, our
government is dominated by corporate money that creates crony style
governmental polices that benefit corporate interests (profits) over
individual interests (people). They are right in contending that the
government does not work for them. What they do not recognize is that the
government does not work for any of us. Where the movement goes horribly
wrong is their assertion that President Obama is a socialist, or that his
polices are ruining the nation. In reality, President Obama is a centrist
Democrat who must be pushed by our movement on the left to implement polices
that benefit everyone in our nation not just corporate interests.

That is why we are marching in Washington, DC right before the midterm
Congressional elections. At the march, we will demand:

* Funding for healthcare and schools not warfare
* Jobs for all and an economy that works for everyone
* Renewable energy and green jobs
* Unity not division no more hate!
* Ending the wars and occupation

Locally, a steering committee has been formed to promote and organize the
event locally. The committee is made up of labor unions, community
organizations, and peace and social justice groups. The purpose of this
group is to get at least a thousand local people to the event. As
progressive organizations, we believe that the 10-2-10 event can be the
springboard for a more unified progressive movement in Central New York. We
all agree that if the rally is just one event, than the rally wont achieve
its purpose of energizing all of us into one progressive movement. We need
to get on the bus.

In order to take a bus to this historic rally, YOU MUST RESERVE YOUR SEAT!
Its free. Simply send your name and contact information to
10210cnyonenation@gmail.com or leave this information at 315-424-1743 ext.
148. Also, let me know if you are going as I hope to fill a bus with my
ARA and Peace Action people and we therefore can arrange a convenient drop
off and pick up site in DC. I am on the committee and will respond to any
inquirers. THIS CAN BE AN HISTORIC OCCASION IF WE GET A MILLION PEOPLE TO
JOIN US. BE ONE OF THEM.

See you on the bus!

9. I Hope Not
Ever since the "incident" over "promos" on election day coverage, Ed has been in hyper-overdrive. Over compensating to get that nasty "incident" out of his head. Contemplating doing a "copy-cat" rally?

I wouldn't count on liberals coming to D.C. unless U2 or Pink Floyd is going to play at some point during the day.

10. You know what, if he is and he holds it on a Saturday, I would go.
It would be even better though if some sponsors of the event could make available good, inexpensive transportation.

11. It is about damn time!
I truly hope that no one gives to the 'progressive' organizations like Move on, true majority, code pink...all bs set up to complain about bush and collect donations but when we need them they are strangely silent.

Go Big Ed!

Time to demand and end to 'free' trade- Bring our damn jobs back, paying taxes instead of collecting unemployment might help the economy ya think?

Time to DEMAND the government do something to help create low income housing for the millions of homeless Americans!!

15. Damn Right, Go Big Ed!!!
And if you can't make the rally, dig into your pocket and contribute to Democratic GOTV efforts. We have to beat back the "Teabagger" aka "Nazi" menace.
