14. I mean both parts.
I think he'll easily win, and I feel that our expectations are so low after Bush that anything seems good now. Bush allowed us to set the bar really low, and we as a Party seem perfectly content to just barely climb over that low bar and claim we're all better for it. We're not.

The message boils down to, "If you think this sucks, imagine THEM!" Not much solace for people whose lives are still sucking. Obama is a band aid. He's not as bad as some say, and not as good as some others say. We really can do better. And one look around this world tells me that we have to.

9. Obama will be re-elected. No doubt about it.
Only those that don't know about politics and history would say otherwise.

Obama is the incumbent!
Any opposition will be lame on the part of Republicans.
Obama will have a great campaign that will out maneuver anything they lob or shoot at him.

The economy would have to be in the tank for him to be beat.

11. You are entitled to your opinion, but just because you feel that way does not mean it will happen.
Since he is only the second president in this decade, that is not saying much since Bushco was the first.

"It's the economy, stupid". If the economy is not much better than it is now and the Democratic base is demoralized and the Republicans are fired up it will be a tough reelection for Obama.

Reality is a harsh mistress.

12. I think the convergence of the republican machine, the economy that will implode further,
and the inaction that will follow as Obama is steered even more to the right by his "team" will make a second term a fantasy.

13. There will be a challenge from the left.
the thugs will then run a holographic image of Reagan and win in a landslide.
