Imagine if Jarrett had made a similar remark about a right-wing constituency.
Does anyone doubt that she'd be spending today packing up her office?

3. oh but of course she'd be gone... mock the Gays and their LIFESTYLE CHOICE and you just make an
apology for showing how uncomfortably ignorant you truly are in your "expert" adviser role. They have really lost it because of this, most GLBT people with a brain here this and say screw you WH!

4. That being a teabagger is a "lifestyle choice"?
Hmm... Not sure that hypothetical comparison even makes sense.

But you get an "A" for effort. And welcome back :hi:!

6. What about if she said that about evangelicals?
But you raise a good point: when has anyone in this administration said anything this offensive about the racist teabaggers?

7. Imagine if a Repub made a similar remark about a racial minority.
They'd probably apologize for misspeaking...to anyone that happened to be offended.

9. She showed what that crowd really thinks. They are ignorant
backward people with huge prejudices against others. They can not even fake it to get through an interview while being an alleged 'communications expert'. She takes money for her 'skills'. The gall of her. She is without talent.

10. Let's reverse it, imagine if a right winger had said the same thing.
The outrage on the LW blogs would be endless. Ditto if a Dem. politician had been called a "whore" (well, except Hillary, she was called that and worse by the left).

Hypocrisy much?

11. Are you high? RIght wingers say the same thing or worse ALL THE TIME.
The hope is that people hired by our President would be better than right-wingers.

12. Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Jarrett.
My point is that we tend to make excuses for those we support and look the other way when one of them says something inappropriate. To me the LW blogosphere is hypocritical, so I don't expect anything from them.

13. She was wrong, she admitted as much, and she apologized.

Other than to satisfy your need to continue to be outraged, what else would you have her do?

17. Yes, like that.
If she had referred to the wacko xtian right as "batshit insane fundie crazies", she'd be gone right now.

Hell, if she referred to the wacko xtian right as a "lifestyle choice" she'd be gone right now.

16. And she should be packing.
Either she actually didn't know what she was saying ("misspoke? LOL), in which case she's an idiot, or she did know, in which case she's an asshole.

Idiot or Asshole, she oughta be out the door.
