Obama Hints He'll Run Again
In an interview with National Journal, President Obama signaled that he will seek reelection and dismissed as "completely unfounded" reports that he might replace Vice President Biden with Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton on the 2012 Democratic ticket.

Said Obama: "Obviously, I haven't made any formal decision, but I feel like I've got a lot of work left to do."

Told that his answer sounded like he was saying "yes," Obama nodded, then broadly smiled. "Take it as you will," he said, laughing.

22. Yeah ...
cause people actually find it plausible that a 51 year old man is going to walk away from the job as the most powerful and influential person on the planet to do ... what exactly ???

"Relect is the combination of Recall and Recollect. While sounding better on the tounge, and easy across the lips, it means the ability to remember a past event."

Edited on Tue Oct-19-10 08:41 PM by denimgirly
things could have been very well done by now if the WH listened to progressives but bahh..here we are..so here is hoping he and his admin has learned their lesson and will listen to its base and not panic to sell out to the first special interest.

I will never vote for the Right but if i am going to be hoodwinked again then i just might sit home in 2012.

20. Primary him!
This will make me real popular here, but I dearly hope for a progressive Democratic to run against him in the primaries.

at least, that I've seen. And I've asked directly.

26. Any progressive Democrat you can think of is fully free
to challenge Barack Obama in the primaries for the 2012 nomination but very likely the intelligence you find and admire in those Democrats would also suggest that they're smarter than to do a stupid thing like that in the first place.

Obama, so long as he wants nomination in 2012, is very likely to have it.

29. Probably true but
They're not going to have any respect for the left, or for the progressive changes this country absolutely HAS to make for its survival, until the left stands up for itself and shows that they have somewhere else to go. It's way past time.

There's a non-corporatist agenda on the left side of the spectrum that works in policy, and that would resonate with many citizens of this country, and Obama just spits on it.

But it's not about Obama, it's about this country's future, it absolutely has to happen.

31. I'm not sure the constituency is in any case insignificant
but I am sure it has not been drawn to an organized effort on the left to oppose the middle.

Cynthia McKinney ran on the Green ticket last cycle and was steamrolled. All the constituencies that comprise the left supported Obama. I'm not seeing that change in large numbers if he seeks re-election.
