16. Yea sure. The other Junior wanted to keep a mush brain dead
alive because of his religous beliefs and Condi as a head of a security organization who couldn't have forseen planes being used as weapons agains the towers and the Pentagon (even though the daily memo stated somethng was going on and every military fiction writer worth their salt talked about it).

Real fucking geniuses. Good luck with that train of thought!

I hear it the other way around, too. Ryan has a lot of support from some older republicans who see him as some kind of savior.

Palin will kill off more reasonable candidates (Romney, Pawlenty) before her campaign goes down in flames

15. Romney started Healthcare reform in MA long before
Obama was elected president. So he is a pioneer
in that field...I have to give him that. I am not
familiar with details of HCR in MA but my understanding
is it quite similar to HCR passed by congress.

Edited on Wed Oct-20-10 02:17 PM by Proud Liberal Dem
Would Condi be able to win the support of teabaggers? Not that I'm saying that they're racist or anything. :eyes:

The Today Show was pimping hard today for New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. What's with all of the corporate media fawning over him and O'Donnell? All they did was win off-year gubernatorial elections in states that had long periods of time with Democratic governors last year.

17. Take it to the bank. It will be their ticket.
I have said this since the end of 2008 here at the DU.

Jeb Bush will be the Republican nominee.

And, Condi is a long-time Bush family insider going back to GH Bush.

I would put money on this at Vegas.

39. The reason for my comment was that Biden knows so much about foreign policy,
including what went on when Rice was ignoring PDBs, lying about WMD, etc. And he would be very able to destroy her credibility. I'll remember how "in awe of" my "perfection" you are in any future posts you may address to me.

Edited on Wed Oct-20-10 07:51 PM by DemocratSinceBirth
And his and his brother's refusal to play the Hispanic bashing card gives him entree into a constituency the Democrats can not win without. Throw in the fact that Jeb has a Colombian wife and can speak idiomatic Spanish he's a formidable candidate.

Lord help us.

I think he runs as VP in a losing effort with a troll at the top of the ticket and comes back for his shot in 2016.

We'd have a fucking field day with these two.

Jeb - as if the Bush name alone isn't enough of a laugh.

Haley Barbour - Republican money launderer for 40 years.

And they want these two asshats as their "adults".

These two look like flaming liberals in the Republican Party of today. I don't think (if the teabagger crap continues with grassroots support)they could get past whatever candidate the teabaggers grab on to. God, it's a weird world.

43. People need a reminder of the election process ...
they don't run as a team ... The presidential candidate runs, then picks a VP after getting the nomination ...

I agree that Condi won't run for president, but I think she would go for the VP slot in a heartbeat, and I can definitely see why the GOP would want her on the ticket ...
