They need to get onboard with Crist or they can all kiss social security goodbye because Rubio is over 20% ahead of Meek.

Lose it all over a letter behind the name, D or I?

From a personal experience Charlie Crist intervened on my family's behalf that could have cost us a fortune and gave us legal problems. Letters, phone calls and emails to our two democratic leaders, Bill Nelson and Corrine Brown did nothing and I'm still waiting for them to contact me after two years. One phone call to Charlie Crist's office had a person from his office and two other state offices on the phone with me within three hours and the problem was solved by close of business that day.

Edit: Oh yeah, I didn't vote for him for governor and I'm not a registered republican but that didn't matter to him or his staff, I was one of his constituents that he took an oath to serve.

We have tried for the last 4 years to get CharLIE Crist to intervene to get my husband's Civil Rights restored. My husband did his time, but no - CharLIE Crist can't take the time to restore his rights.

He may have helped you, but there are quite a few people more tha he has hurt. He is after all chain Gang CharLIE. If you want to support an opportunist, go right ahead. If you want to support a real Progressive Democrat - then it's time to vote for Kendrick Meek.

Kendrick Meek is going to lose and a vote for him means you might as well put a check in the box for Rubio.

Thanks for adding to the republican's victories and think of the harm to come to the state, you and your husband if Rick Scott and Marco Rubio are in control of it.

BTW - Has either Bill Nelson or Corrine Brown got off their fat bureaucratic asses to help your husband?

CharLIE Crist - the man you love so much - is the governor. Nelson can suggest (which he has previously), but it is the Governor's decision to restore rights. And Corinne Brown is not my Rep. That would be good ole boy Tom Rooney. The guy who thinks he can just show up 2 years later and assume we should all vote for him. What a dunderhead he is.

Alex Sink isn't that far ahead of him and he is a certified criminal. Unless Sink can win by a landslide which I doubt, Crist may be our last line of defense against Scott trying to steal the election which as we all know too well can happen.

I doubt that I'm supressing republican turnout by recognizing that simply fact.

If Crist and Rubio are caught on tape beating up an orphan girl... then meek can win.

Absent that, it's not a "meme"... it's a simple fact. And no... I'm not encouraging people to shift to Crist because Meek can't win. I think that democrats should vote for the democrat.

Are they counting the votes already and putting out the news instead of waiting for the polls to close on Nov. 2?

and which party registration they have. But they have not yet counted the ballots, but still you would want dems who requested ballots to be much higher than that.

We shouldn't overreact with either excessive glee (where the early results hint at favorable results) or with excessive concern (as with these numbers). there just isn't enough historical data to rely on them as having any predictive power.

Take FL for instance. Yes, the GOP is excited that the ballot requests look high for them, but this summary lumps "real" early voting (people who show up to vote early) with absentee ballot requests (75% of this total... easily swaying the results). I'm not even sure whether the ballot requests for absentee voters are actual returned votes... or just the ballot request (it reads like the later)... whereas, the "real" early voting numbers are actual cast votes.

I think we've all heard for over a decade now that a high percentage of FL's absentee ballots are oversees military votes (usually assumed to lean right).

I like that we have early voting, but when I went the last couple of times it was like spending the day waiting. If I wait until the actual election day, I walk right in, cast my vote and off I go. My vote is all I have. I certainly don't have any money to donate. I'm not going to let this get me down. There's just no point in that. I think that the Dems will fair much better than everyone is predicting even if they do slip some. :kick:

It's a hard choice for many Dems to have to go for the indie and not the Dem. But I do wonder if some of them are wrestling with whether to stay true to their Democratic vote ... or to bail to Crist in the hopes of defeating Rubio.

I know if I had to face a choice like that, I wouldn't rush right out in early voting. As it is, I'm in Maryland, so I have no such dilemma holding me back. Early voting here starts today!
