I'll be out tabling next week-- getting the crew together this weekend....
the teabaggers are out in force tabling for the other guy, and I came "this close" to decking one of the lying sumbitches when he said the wrong thing to me.

We don't call it that here, but I'm what others call a precinct captain, and every day I'll be out doing something to get our guys, and gal, elected.

And when I sent in my absentee ballot, I didn't hold my nose.

4. I've been pretty impressed with Gillibrand.
Can't really think of any big votes she disappointed me with, and she's been pretty bold in taking principled positions early and often... especially compared to Senator Schumer, whose job is pretty damn safe. For example, Gillibrand voted against defunding ACORN and in retrospect, she was right. Too early in the morning but I could come up with dozens more examples, using Google.

I think she's doing a GREAT job so far.

5. I liked her from day one, even though there was a lot of...
hesitation because of her relationship with D'Amato, past House positions and some other questionable stuff. But, as I hoped, she's turned out to be a hard working and smart Senator, generally doing the right thing.

(Gets you wondering whether the choice was a brilliant move on Paterson's part, or just a lucky accident.)
