** Heads Up: Bill Clinton Campaigns for Joe Manchin, Live now! **
http://www.cnn.com/video/flashLive/live.html?stream=stream4

I thought at the time Manchin should not have run, WV had stuck with an appointee and waited until 2010 .... but he has pulled ahead in the last few days and I would LOVE to be WRONG!

17. Climate change is a scam and a deadly giveaway to the fossil fuel industry.
Electing coal industry stooges like Manchin is suicidally bad policy.

18. And you think Jay Rockefeller and Robert Byrd are/were not pro-coal?
Please.

And I am all for a climate change bill, but not the cap and trade nonsense.

19. Byrd was prepared to vote for a climate change bill.
If you can get the Senate to vote for a better plan than cap and trade then bring it forward. I guarantee Manchin won't support that either. Until then you can stick the right-wing talking points about cap and trade down a deep, dark hole.

15. Manchin is conservative, but not THAT conservative.
Now when it comes to energy/environmental issues...

But trust me, Joe Manchin will be light-years ahead of Lieberman or Ben Nelson.

10. Clinton: "I have a wife who's a travelling sale's person, so I'm home alone a lot."
".... so I spend an hour a day studying the economy."

If William Jefferson Clinton isn't an argument for allowing a President to have a third, non-consecutive term, I dont know who is.

14. You mean "waited until *2012*," right?
I'm inclined to agree: after all, congressional Democrats faced a less hostile environment in Clinton's reelection year of 1996 than at the 1994 midterms, and that precedent was surely easy enough to grok this season. However, Nate Dogg (Silver) rates Manchin's chance of winning at 76.6%.
