Davidson Co. TN number of early voters lower than last TN gubernatorial election
The number of early voters in Davidson County for the Nov. 2 election ended lower than the last Tennessee gubernatorial election in 2006.

Thursday was the early voting deadline and 70,470 of those ballots were cast in Davidson County, said electon administrator Ray Barrett.
The early vote total in Davidson County for the 2006 gubernatorial election had 87,800 early votes cast, Barrett said. In the 2008 presidential election, the number of early voters in Davidson County was 190,705.

There are 351,512 registered voters in Davidson County, Barrett said.

The state’s Division of Elections reports that 736,885 have cast early voting and absentee ballots in Tennessee for the Nov. 2 election according to numbers posted through 1 p.m. today.

Absentee ballots can still be accepted through 7 p.m. election day, Barrett said.
