Was Keith Olbermann done in by jealous colleagues at MSNBC?

It should be obvious to anybody who has watched MSNBC's election coverage recently that there is a lot of tension between the network's beltway oriented news personnel and the more left leaning commentators like Olbermann and Rachel Maddow. Chris Matthews, in particular, doesn't seem to care for Olbermann very much. And I recall several remarks by Keith that were more or less dismissive of Tweety.

I think there are others at the network who are not Olbermann fans as well. David Gregory, Chucky Toad and Tom Brokaw come to mind. It isn't hard for me to imagine that Keith is the victim of a palace coup engineered by Matthews and others at the network who are envious of his ratings and notoriety.

I have no evidence, insider information or other sources that confirm this. It's just a suspicion I've gotten from watching on air interaction between these people.

Who was the one who tipped off the NBC execs on Olbermann's donations to Democrats? That's what I'd like to know.

we've turned off MSNBC completely.

Olbermann seemed to have really developed a nice friendship -- got the feeling they LIKED and enjoyed each other. A while back I felt there was tension. But I'm watching through a TV screen, so it's totally subject to my interpretation. Which is usually right, but not always. :7 :hi:

I would love to know who told Politico to check on Keith. Seems odd they just showed up the other day with this information. Anyone heard anything on that?

and that's the reason why they did this more than anything else. I think he realized that their policy was BS and just did what he wanted to.
