What is presidential leadership? Why is it necessary?
...Obama said in an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes’’ that he “stopped paying attention’’ to the leadership style he displayed during his run for the presidency.

Obama also said he recognizes now that "leadership is not just legislation," and that "it’s a matter of persuading people. And giving them confidence and bringing them together. And setting a tone. And making an argument that people can understand."

“And I think that . . . we haven’t always been successful at that," he said. "And I take personal responsibility for that. And it’s something that I’ve got to examine closely as I go forward."

Very encouraging comments by the president. :)

2. Encouraging, IMO, in that it suggests he's acknowledging...
... that he failed to tap into a crucial power of the presidency, but plans to do so moving forward.

But then, I am kind of a dewy-eyed optimist when it comes to politics. LOL :D

4. So then his 1st Act is to Cave and give into Tax Cuts for the Rich?!?!?
Doesnt sound like he's changed at all.
I understand he has to compromise but geez there are many ways that doesnt lead to always needing to give away the Queen. This is why republicans dont fear Obama...he seems to be eager to cave before negotiations even start.

5. How many times can you post this same thing?
Just how "brave" are any of us in our daily life when it comes to harming ourselves for a minutes "bravery?"

He has not "caved" on tax cuts you act like that has happened already.

You are just here to stir up the shit on the President and on only one theme, too, that he's "spineless."

well, he's not. Enough of that already. We're sick of hearing you trash someone as spineless when they became the first black President. The spineless cannot do that. His life is in danger every day, he's had more threats than other presidents.

6. Why the Dems didn't put forth a "Democratic Middle Class Tax Fairness" bill...
... and do it, like, a year ago... it's beyond me.

We wouldn't be talking about "The Bush Tax Cuts" today if Pres. Obama and top Dems had taken ownership of the issue from the start.

Re: talk of "compromise" now... I'm seeing conflicting reports. I guess we'll find out where things stand pretty soon.

9. Jobs, health care, tax fairness... all part of one big, bold plan.
If we want it.
