The dismantling of Palin has begun from the right. Here is Peggy Noonan's
most recent article. The right will implode Palin if she doesn't take running for Pres. off the table. THey will eat her alive.

1. Couldn't happen to a more deserving target.
Did you see that Joe McGinniss has threatened to sue SP and all the bigwigs at Discovery if they don't take the unauthorized video of him (and Sarah's comments about him) out of their "Sarah Palin's Alaska"? If you need a link, let me know. It's pretty funny.

14. I'd like the link please
It would explain why Joe is back to a qualified tepid endorsement of a Palin presidency run. Saw an interview of him (MSNBC) where when asked if Palin was qualified, he said between her and the current occupant of the WH, no contest - Palin was more qualified.

When asked if Palin specifically was someone he'd support/endorse for a presidential run (esp. since Palin had endorsed him), he said "given the current list of contenders", he would. Which suggested to me that he was saying yeah, Palin, unless there was a contender in the future that he liked better (ie, who would cut him a better deal, probably).

It was definitely a limited endorsement, not an enthusiatic "absolutely" kind of endorsement of Palin and I was surprised to hear it so early (before he knows the outcome of his own race).

16. I think you may be confusing Joe McGinniss with Joe Miller.
Edited on Sat Nov-06-10 05:04 PM by Blue_In_AK
Joe McGinnis is the author who moved next door to the Palins out in Wasilla to write his book. Joe Miller did amp up his support for Sarah after being kind of tepid about it, so my guess is some strings were pulled there. Maybe Todd behind the scenes.

If you want to read about the dispute with Joe the Author

17. oh my gosh, you're right - so sorry!
Re-read your post - you clearly said Joe McGuiness, and I saw Joe Miller by mistake (haven't had enough sleep lately, so being "older" is catching up with me)!

But thanks for the links - I would like to read about the dispute re McGuiness. There is no limit to the destruction Hurricane Sarah leaves in her path.

2. The Republican establishment are terrified
that Palin is gearing up to run for President in 2012.

This will ensure an easy win for Democrats, so they're going hard after her. I don't know if this is productive because of her staunch following, but all's I can say is, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

6. I don't agree about an easy win for the Democrats. Americans have gone nuts in the last year and
this last election shows how much.

The SC decision on campaign funding gave the republicans a large advantage. We will be seeing Palin backed by tens of billions which is a drop in the bucket.

The media has reached a new high in support of the right wing teabaggers as America watches Dancing With The Stars and Fox "news".

18. I disagree...Unless she can get the Latino and African-American vote..
I don't think she stands a chance..

If only white males were voting, she'd win by a landslide..

I don't see her endearing herself to any of these groups soon

19. Rubio?
There is one problem with the real lunatic birther element of the right, they do not think he is qualified either because of their weird definition of "natural born" so expect a good split there.

23. Palin is known to quit her job half way through so Rubio becomes
president in 2 years! Why would the Hispanics be
displeased about that?

21. I think you're correct. Couple that with the Dems repeated and continued failure to message
effectively. They did NEXT TO NOTHING to talk up their case for reelection. And when they did they provided no passion or oomph - just a lot of wooden talking points a little too scholarly and with no pizzazz to them so NOTHING stuck in the mind of the listener. And Obama got into the game WAY too late. At least a year too late.

NEVER EVER EVER underestimate the gullibility and stupidity of the American electorate. They threw a huge temper tantrum this time. No way should they be buying the CONs' view. And they swallowed it WHOLE. Bought the bullshit WHOLE. And gulped it straight down.

3. If she decides to run, I cannot imagine anything that will come between her ego and her ambition.

This is a woman who used a Down's Syndrome child and a pregnant teenage daughter to advance her career....what could possibly be considered "going too far" in her mind?

4. I love it!
Surely they realize that Palin isn't a team player. She'd bite of her nose to spite her face in a NY minute. They are playing in fire....nobody, I mean nobody disses Sarah without her growling/biting. And, what's great is that she holds grudges!!!!

Whoopee!

And Sarah has real experience: I guess Peggy didn't notice the Soviets never attacked Alaska while Sarah was governor

11. If Palin ends up being the Nominee Obama is guaranteed a 2nd term.
Palin obviously doesnt give a damn about being president...she just sees it as a opporunity to make more money by attempting to run for president.
Will be fun to watch over the next 2 years how all of the republican whos-who come out to attempt ot destroy her while Palin attacks them back.

her to take command of their party or the country.

She's probably got a lot of skeletons and embarrassing shit in her closet, and Rove will be digging i all up! Can't wait.
