Plouffe to replace Axelrod at the White House
Finally some good news, if it happens.

Plouffe to Replace Axelrod in White House
President Obama's top adviser, David Axelrod, will likely be replaced by campaign strategist David Plouffe when he leaves the White House early next year.

Axelrod tells National Journal that "he still plans on leaving Washington in the spring to head back to Chicago to work on the president's reelection campaign, and he expects Plouffe -- who was a key member of Obama's presidential campaign -- to step in to the White House soon."

2. Plouffe is a tough guy. This is good news, Axelrod needs a vacation, stress is getting to him.

3. Because it is all about the "campaign". It always was. That and nothing else. Funny, recently
the President opined about not realizing how different it would be to govern rather than campaign. This is a return to his comfort zone.

9. Of course it is.
It always is with the WH.

"the President opined about not realizing how different it would be to govern rather than campaign."

Therein lies the problem. Governing is NOT campaigning, which seems to have been what Obama has done for years. He was always on campaign mode in pursuit of climbing the political ladder at lightning speed. I resent that we are the guinea pigs through which he is finally garnering some executive experience.

:(

14. You've resented Obama since prior to his being elected.
What so obvious is that you don't think it shows.
Get over it!

17. I have never hidden the fact he was never my Primary choice. So what? He also wasn't the Primary
of a whole heck of a lot of Democrats. We had quite a crowed field! We all voted for him in the General though and that is what counts. He was elected.I am not sure what you are thinking "shows".

18. I didn't realize that I was obligated to like him.
Plenty here don't like other Democrats and that seems to be OK.

4. I thought this was pretty well known to happen.
Plouffe didn't want to spend 4 years in DC, he said that right out. Both excel at what they do, we'll be in good hands.

5. Pretty tight bubble
He might want to consider bringing in some people that don't think he walks on water.

6. At least, Plouffe does not despise the netroots the way Axelrod and Emmanuel do.

I find that progress in a world where I dont see too much progress (see the threads about Obama saying he was not bipartisan enough).

Or his Vice President Joe Biden?

19. Biden's about the only one
Cabinet secretaries aren't "staff". Neither are VP's although lately they've been used this way alot. Staff doesn't go through Senate confirmation processes. They just tend to be the adoring crowd.

The guy who wants to make progress where progress needs to be made or the one who wants bipartisanship for the sake of it.

12. Are you talking about the guy who in two years moved the progressive
Ball forward more than any president in almost 50 years and more than any president except LBJ and FDR? Yea, not good enough for you, I know. Whoever you'll vote for in 2012 will much better.

15. There are many folks who are predictable around here......
it's par of the course.

At least Impik is on a Democratic Site that at one time was a refuge
for those supporting Democrats as opposed to those helping out the opposition directly,
and working hard at it night and day (not you) dissing this Prez....

Those same folks who will act shit grinned surprised and point their fingers as their solution,
when we end up with some real fucked up crazy ass shit that no one will be able to dial back once it happens.

Impik is just one of many (as well as others who no longer post here by choice) who actually is a Democrat who may be admittely sick and tired of folks believing that this man, since he didn't turn out to be the almighty "tough SOAB ganster" Democratic savior responsible of our every wants based on our timeline, should now be kicked to the curb, and have his head stomped on as often as possible for every infraction of not doing exactly as his masters demand.

I saw the movie "Unstoppable" this weekend, about a runaway train heading towards heavily populated Stanton PA, and during one part of the movie, where a Fox news copter is getting all up in the way of a serious rescue segment, I looked at my husband and said......"In real life, they'd be blaming this shit on Obama".....
Sad to say, but that would be so.

16. This is an improvement.
No offense to Axelrod, but I think he is just worn out and needs a break.
