Buzz up!Twitter FarkIt Type Size A A A WASHINGTON -- Vice President Joe Biden had some “practical” advice on family and commuting to Washington from Delaware, Sen.-elect Chris Coons said today.

He said make it as physically uncomfortable as possible to spend the night,” said Coons, who will keep his Delaware home and commute on Amtrak as Biden did for decades.

While there will be pressures to stay in Washington, Coons said Biden warned that, “if you get a nice comfortable place, the first year it’s one night a week, the next year it’s two nights a week… Four years from now, you’ll miss every game your son plays.

“I thought that was very insightful,” he said.

I'm guessing if that idiot O'Donnell had won she would have moved her ass on down to DC so she could join the partiers. I realize it's impossible for most senators to commute to work everyday but I do like that our senators & congressional rep take advantage of that. BTW, Mike Castle also commuted too.

1. Oh damn, she'd have moved into "C" Street where they probably
already had a suite waiting for her!

2. Yes but then she'd be out partying every night
She's holier than thou but still likes to party.

4. Get out of my head! I was just about to write the same thing. However...
are we sure that the C Street fanatics accept women? Seems to be an all-male club from what I read in Jeff Sharlet's book.

5. HA! It is all male...so far...but since dear O'Donnell is so christian cighteous and all,
maybe they'd make an exception!

7. At least DE is still sane
Edited on Mon Nov-15-10 11:47 PM by SteveG
New Castle is still sane but Sussex and Kent counties are nuts, but New Castle is still sane. The crazies are about to take over the Republican Party in this state, I wish them no good.

9. To be fair the coastal part of Sussex county went big for Coons
I guess just the inland folks are the crazy ones.

I actually feel a bit sad for the republican party. If they don't build themselves some quality candidates that reach out to both sides of the political spectrum, like Mike Castle and even Michelle Rollins, then they are going to be screwed for a long time coming.

10. You know when I first read about him I thought he'd be another blue dog...
but towards then end he showed that he really is a progressive. In 4 years he'll win easy re-election.
