I hope Darrell Issa goes off the deep end with all of these 'investigations'
Because I'll have fun pointing out to these numnuts teabaggers about how they are wasting time with farfetched accusations instead of focusing on the real issues to address jobs & the economy.

Don't get me wrong, I like a good investigation as much as the next person but seriously, find some basis of merit to your accusations not just pulling them out of a magic hat and hope one will stick.

I suspect nothing will get done this congressional term and it will be very obvious who the blame will be laid to! GO for it republicans, I look forward to taking back the House in 2012

12. And how much it costs those who are "investigated"? My friend worked for
the Resolution Trust Authority (S & L failures) and she and everyone she worked with, despite the billions they saved for American Taxpayers by "winding" down the failures, was investigated relentlessly by the GOP congress. As if they were somehow stealing money!

In any case, it cost her over $100,000 in attorneys fees to represent herself through this process. And she was a relatively minor character. More senior people had expenses far in excess of that.

Those kinds of investigations can financially ruin people, hundreds of people. It discourages people from being willing to serve in positions where the government needs them.

It's a part of the GOP tactics of intimidating Democrats and driving them out of government and the political process. And no matter how devoted we are to democracy, when there are people who have the power to bankrupt you and will do it if you are in their way, you have to think long and hard about how far you are willing to stand up and be a target.

4. Seriously ...

How exactly did Issa get chaimanship of this committee? His party won a blowout election by running on killing the president, literallly. They had no, ZERO, legislative agenda. They ran for the last two years on nothing other than negatively framing this president, promising to repeal all of his legislation and to make him a one term president ...

Literally, that is all they said, and the won 60+ additional seats in congress ...

Do you REALLY think they are going to pay any price for them investigating the crape out of him? Do you REALLY think the MSM is going to question what they are doing?

When he was running for president he literally spent over a month answering to the media about the pressing issue of why he did not wear a flag pin on his lapel. Do you REALLY think the media will have a problem with Issa spending hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars investigating why Obama shoots jump shots with his elbow at a 45% angle instead of at more traditional 90 degree angle?

THIS is what we will see ...

Rush Limbaugh - "Folks, there is nothing more unamerican than shooting a jump shot with your elbow at a 45% angle. This is just the halmark of elite, limoseone liberalism."

Glenn Beck - "Now, I am not calling him a muslim, but you know that the prophet Abraham shot his jump shot at 45% angle, I think it is reasonable to assume Obama is a communist because he shoots like Abraham did."

Eric Cantor - "It is clear that Obama's jumpshot is a clear national security issue!"

Chris Mathews - "BRILLIANT politcal strategy to go after the president mercilessly"

Wolf Blitzer - "Republicans are on the attack!"

Brian Williams - "President Obama needs to explain why he shoots his jumpshot at the same angle as Osama Bin Laden"

Joe Scarboro - "Really, 2,389 subpeonas are not too much to ensure national security"

AP Headline - "Obama on defensive on jump shot"

Average buckethead winger - "I could care less about the deficit, NOTHING effects national security more than a president who shoots the basketball like Saddam Hussein."

Twit democrat - "We didn't get single payer health care, so screw him ..."
