Bobbie Holsclaw explains her interest in running for governor (KY)

After first confirming her interest in running for governor to cn|2 Politics on Monday, Jefferson County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw explained in more detail why she’s interested in entering the race.

Holsclaw, a Republican, won her fourth term as county clerk last week. And she said

“I think the people and the voters and the citizens are tired of people who talk the talk but never … solving the problems,” Holsclaw said.

She said she’s not to the point yet of reaching out to potential running mates.

If she jumped into the Republican primary, she would face Senate President David Williams, who is running with Agriculture Commissioner Richie Farmer, and Louisville businessman Phil Moffett, whose running mate is state Rep. Mike Harmon, a Republican form Boyle County.
