Darryl Issa has his own dark past
I met someone last night who went to high school with Darryl Issa in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
He said that Issa was not a nice kid at all. He badly beat up some other kid over a girl (she preferred the other kid).
And more interestingly, Issa and his brother evidently stole a whole bunch of blank car titles
that they could use to sell hot cars. Issa got off with a slap on the wrist because he was still a minor, according to this person.
I know it is all hearsay, but this guy was quite credible. And it doesn't hurt to spread some of the early antics of Mr. Holier Than Thou.

Put Issa on the defensive. According to this guy I met, it was not "all his brother". Issa had a pretty bad reputation back then.

Issa has made a career of being a shill, cheerleader, and personal representative in Congress for Hezbollah, Arafat, Syria, and the global Islamic terror machine. He has a track record of anti-Semitic statements–dismissing critics (like myself) because they are “Jews”–and of using his Congressional office to try to intimidate others, mostly conservatives and many political enemies. And then there’s his long criminal record. During his life–he stole at least three cars, stole his multi-million dollar business, stole patents, fired an employee at gunpoint, committed arson and insurance fraud, at a plant (and then the detective investigating it mysteriously “died”), lied about his military record, was caught carrying a concealed weapon and ammunition including tear gas (believed to be for the purpose of committing armed robbery), and even stealing one of his fellow soldier’s cars.

I don't know how we could ever trust him. He should be in Gitmo with the rest of his rag head buddies.

I know the wing nuts and the lunatic fringe are having orgasms over Issa's threat to inspect Obama's skivies for skid marks, but I wonder how many of them realize that he is in fact of Lebanese extraction and has in the past made statements which could be interpreted as anti semitic.

Anti Semitic probably wouldn't bother them but they might have problems with that Lebanese thingy.

Issa faced scrutiny over his arrests in 1972 and 1980 on auto theft charges. While the charges were ultimately dropped in both cases for lack of evidence, the 1980 episode was a damning one:

The Santa Clara case happened in February, 1980, when Issa was a 27-year-old U.S. Army officer, and his brother was 29, according to the Chronicle. The brothers were arrested on a felony auto-theft charge. According to prosecutors said, William Issa sold his brother's car to Smythe European Motors in San Jose for $13,000 cash and three $1,000 traveler's checks. Hours later, Darrell Issa reported the car stolen from the Monterey airport, near his Army post at Fort Ord.


For his part, Issa was quick to blame his brother for both his run-ins with the police and his later riches selling car security systems:

"William has inflicted pain and sorrow upon our family since he was a teenager. Obviously, his past continues to inflict pain today," said Issa, who became a multimillionaire manufacturer of electronic auto alarms, including the popular "Viper" anti-theft device. "When people ask me why I got into the car alarm business, I tell them the truth. It was because my brother was a car thief."

It's kind of a toss up in the GOP as to who's the WORST ... Bill Frist, kitten adopter/

kitten experimenter -- Issa teenaged criminal -- Cheney, Bush, Rove .... on and on it

goes. Obviously the party attracts animal abusers, thieves and murderers!!

16. he's an oily little snake
and had a hand in the enron fiasco here in cali :( he wanted the governorship so badly, and was incensed when GAS got the nomination. GAS has been bad enough, but i shudder to think what california would have been like after 7 years of issa and wilson.
