So Palin responds to reaction to her "North Korea" slip up by attacking Obama
I'm so sick of this idiot always playing the victim. From her Facebook page:

A Thanksgiving Message to All 57 States
by Sarah Palin on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at 7:46pm

My fellow Americans in all 57 states, the time has changed for come. With our country founded more than 20 centuries ago, we have much to celebrate – from the FBI’s 100 days to the reforms that bring greater inefficiencies to our health care system. We know that countries like Europe are willing to stand with us in our fight to halt the rise of privacy, and Israel is a strong friend of Israel’s. And let’s face it, everybody knows that it makes no sense that you send a kid to the emergency room for a treatable illness like asthma and they end up taking up a hospital bed. It costs, when, if you, they just gave, you gave them treatment early, and they got some treatment, and ah, a breathalyzer, or an inhalator. I mean, not a breathalyzer, ah, I don’t know what the term is in Austrian for that…

Of course, the paragraph above is based on a series of misstatements and verbal gaffes made by Barack Obama (I didn’t have enough time to do one for Joe Biden). YouTube links are provided just in case you doubt the accuracy of these all too human slips-of-the-tongue. If you can’t remember hearing about them, that’s because for the most part the media didn’t consider them newsworthy. I have no complaint about that. Everybody makes the occasional verbal gaffe – even news anchors.

Obviously, I would have been even more impressed if the media showed some consistency on this issue. Unfortunately, it seems they couldn’t resist the temptation to turn a simple one word slip-of-the-tongue of mine into a major political headline. The one word slip occurred yesterday during one of my seven back-to-back interviews wherein I was privileged to speak to the American public about the important, world-changing issues before us.

3. This difference is, Obama's mistakes were not due to ignorance,
they were simply verbal mistakes which are bound to happen when you're tired and giving that many speeches. He is a HARVARD law graduate who graduated with honors. Palin's gaffes are based on pure ignorance. She has no idea which Korea is which, or anything for that matter.

4. "privileged to speak to the American public about the important, world-changing issues"

Only in America would the media give her such a huge platform to spew her nonsense and actually be taken seriously (instead of as a *curiosity*). :eyes:

The day that she (Ra forbid) gets elected POTUS, we'll TRULY know that this country is irreversibly and hopelessly doomed. I'm not sure even I, an eternal optimist, would be able to keep myself from falling into the deepest abyss of despair imaginable.

5. Of course...that's the entire GOP playbook...
what else could she offer?

The GOP is filled w/these no-nothing clods, (if ignorance is bliss, these people are the happiest people on the planet). All they have is grossly attacking anyone that is not in lockstep w/their ridiculous ideology, they've got nothing and attacking people is all they can do. Of course, she couldn't mention her own eagle eyes, those peepers that can see Russia from her house...:eyes:

She's been attacking the First Lady as well...a woman who grows an organic garden on WH grounds, being attacked by a woman who clubs halibut...go figure.

Good thing harp seal pups are out of season!...x(

6. The real question is not whether she knows the diff. between N & S Korea but...
.... whether she'd continue to use snark as a diplomatic tool.

If so, I'm moving to Australia.

9. That was my reaction - I thought this was more telling than her confusing North and South Korea
The fact that her answer to ANY question about ANYTHING seems to begin with an attack on President Obama is very interesting.

This woman is so far out of her league, yet she thinks she's qualified not only to opine on any topic, but to confidently and snarkily sneer at the grownups who know what they're doing. She's a real piece of work.

The sooner her 15 minutes are up, the better . . .

13. Rebecca A. Mansour...a failed LA scriptwriter ..

<snip>

, she was an LA scriptwriter until she reinvented herself as a blogger when she set up Conservatives4Palin in protest at what she felt was the unfair way the vice-presidential candidate was treated in the 2008 election. She describes herself as an "ordinary barbarian", and since having helped Palin write her first book, Going Rogue, she has become her unofficial mouthpiece, writing draft speeches and putting out Tweets and Facebook entries in her name.

15. Her cruelty and stupidity knows no bounds.
It's sad that the MSM portrays her as a person of significance. Doubly tragic is that there is a vast number of people who not only listen to her; these "fans" defend her. How far has this country fallen when people turn to this woman as a on-point person for international affairs.

For that, and the incredible lack of attention paid to her outright racism, makes her rather dangerous if she does turn into more of a leader of policy in this country.

After all, this woman during the 2008 elections, put a sitting senator and his family in danger. Now, she openly puts a sitting President and his family in danger. And because the old boys club are suckers for a pretty face, they truly ignore how detrimental she can be to this country nationally and internationally. :(
