Palins Alaska not only a political commerical but an attack on the long term unemployed
I watched this piece of crap again tonight, just to see what TLC is promoting. It was an hour of how hard working they are as a family.. from dawn to dusk.. 18 hours a day.. and in the fish muck..how they teach their kids to work hard.. even making a reference to Trig, how he will learn to work hard.

My Momma did not raise any fools.. that is just fuel for the right to deny any more benefits to the long term unemployed..

The meme from their side is that unemployment benefits make people lazy and not want to work.

Even if you refuse to watch that show.. catch just a few minutes of it.. and you will see what I mean.

They are messaging big time

3. Can't even watch the commercials
It's probably like the cooking shows. The host rarely cooks and off camera there's support staff and producers who do all the work.

channel that featured Alaska State Troopers. I don't know how it happened, but I watched several episodes and the overwhelming theme seems to be substance abuse - especially alcoholism - among the native Alaskans. The unemployment rate is ridiculously high and apparently they literally drown their sorrows. Wonder how often old Sarah thinks of them.

Why are you pumping up this half term loser? Don't you get it, she is only a threat to the extent that we make her one, and this endless obsessing by folks around here only pumps up her sorry self.

The best thing you could do about Palin is to simply ignore her, and let her and her family fade from view.

17. Umm, there are many more quicker and accurate ways of gaging a show's ratings
Nielsen is being kept around for its show value now. The real ratings information is being gathered directly from your cable or satellite box. Do you honestly think that those overnight ratings on programs are generated from Nielsen? They're not. Nielsen ratings are being kept around simply not to freak out people that their viewing habits are being directly monitored.

11. Palin is a liar. Her family is made up of druggies and boozers. She can't control her kids. The
show is nothing but lies. Even the people in her town know she is a known liar. Don't fall for her shit. Don't believe she actually gets out on the boat and shoots guns. She never worked a full day even as governor. They say she would leave by 3 to go home to catch the soaps on tv and read all the hollywood mags. You know the ones she is obsessed with. You know how she is lying? When she is openning her book.

12. So far it has just been a 2 year nonstop commercial for why McCain/Palin lost in 2008.
I can't wait for Palin fatigue to set in for the rest of those folks.
For me, it was on election night when she wanted to give a concession speech, but McCain turned out the lights while she was still on the stage.

about her. She's already a household name, like Clorox or Drano. These shows are ads to soften the market for her next step.

Thing is all the ads that Nutmeg paid for with her own money, telling people what she thought they want to hear about her didn't get her the governorship. I can only hope the general population of this country will see all this Palin bullshit for what it is - advertizing.
