1. So...guessing at the context, he didn't care what everyone else would

agree to, he thought his job was just to slash everything he always wanted to cut or repeal as a Senator and hoped everyone else would go along with it. What a douche.

If a committee holds a discussion, are the results real or even matter if no one else heard the discussion? How often do the recommendations get quietly placed in the circular file?
