The Angry Black Lady has something to show you.....

Obama Calls Bullshit; Bullshit Answers.
By Angry Black Lady on December 7th, 2010

You’re in the DAYNJAH ZONE!

Apparently, Obama has lost Katrina van den Heuvel. I’m sure Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild is next…

And before you concern troll me, and claim she makes legitimate points, any alleged Democrat who goes on to the pages of Fred Hiatt’s fishwrap and claims Obama is on his way to a failed Presidency after the accomplishments of the last couple of years in the face of multiple crises, a depression, complete lack of help from the GOP and a fractured and spineless Democratic party, can just go fuck themselves. I don’t care what they have to say.

BTW- when the Democrats lose the black vote because of what has gone on during this administration, don’t act all surprised. I’ve warned you all of the simmering anger just below the surface in the African-American community. They’re being blamed for everything (Acorn, the housing crisis, voter fraud- hell, the day after Prop 8 failed people rushed to blame black people), they are treated to a clear double standard in Congress (Charlie Rangel humiliated for what the panel concluded were small mistakes and not designed to benefit him while DeLay is a felon and no one blinks, Vitter and Ensign and hundreds of others go unpunished. And now they are after Waters. There is a reason the CBC wants to get rid of the ethics panel.), they’re watching their party elites savage the first black President when they have been the backbone for the Democrats for decades, and they are watching a President be submitted to racist smear campaigns by folks outside the party that make any and all of the bullshit the Clintons went through look like small potatoes, and NO ONE is raising any hell in defense of the President. It’s all go along to get along. The only congressman who called the Republicans out was defeated. The rest just sit there and whisper behind the scenes about how Obama won’t tell them what he wants. All of this while the AA community is the hardest hit by recession.
---------------

I’m telling you, the black community is noticing this shit even if you all aren’t. Read the damned comments here and see what people are saying.

1. It's going to be an interesting two years
Maybe all those who are giddy for a primary challenge will get a wake-up call - which will come too late to prevent a Republican president in 2012 - when they fail to realize that the entirety of the Democratic party isn't all of one mind and one voice.

3. We shall see.
In the end, Black folks always have it the worse,
so a GOP Pres in 2012 will just be more of the same.
The problem will be 2012 forward.....cause those voters
will not come back.......and so whatever grand plan
the "Let's primary the fucker!" have in mind will never
ever come true. Not ever.

Quit Your Damn Whining, Democrats, and Help The President Fight!
The Extreme Liberal
12/7/10

Nicole at Political Ruminations has a post up that gives some perspective to the deal the President just struck with the Evil Party. It has to suck to be in a Whitehouse that has no one to cover their backs, no one to help you put up the good fight against the lockstep Evil Party, no one to help you sway public opinion, no one to help explain nuance….but a whole hell of a lot of people who point fingers at you, call you names, are impatient and lazy and who are still bitter that an unknown black guy swooped in and won the presidency. From ABC, courtesy of Nicole…

“We wanted a fight, the House didn’t throw a punch,” a senior White House official tells ABC News, pointing out that for months before the 2010 midterm elections, President Obama was making the case against the Bush tax cuts for wealthier Americans. “The House wouldn’t vote before the Senate, and the Senate was afraid they’d lose a vote on it.” (Emphasis mine.)

“It was like the Jets versus Sharks except there weren’t any Jets,” the official said. “Senator Schumer says he wants a fight? He couldn’t hold his caucus together.”

“This isn’t a debate in a lab somewhere,” the official continued. “People’s taxes were going to go up, and then we were going to have a Senate with a slimmer margin and House under Republican control.”

Another senior White House official said that under the new Congress, it was likely all the White House would have been able to get as a concession was maybe seven months of extended unemployment insurance, as opposed to the current deal — with a payroll tax reduction, business write-offs for investments, and continued child and college tuition tax credits.

But, gay and lesbian people of color were very harmed by it, however.

And someone might want to tell this angry "Lady" that Prop 8 succeeded. It didn't "fail." If she's going to try to misappropriate Prop 8, she might want to learn the basics of it before she opens her mouth.

59. You don't get it. It was not just the GLBT.
Which includes Black people. And the Black community on DU was demonized and labeled to take the brunt of all things that went wrong to the point that many on DU were making veiled racist attacks and assumptions. And no one was differentiating between Blacks and Blacks who are part of the GLBT.

Think on this...do you believe that ONLY those who died on 911 were affected by 911. You don't think that the Muslim community as a whole has been dealt a brutal blow, where they are almost pariah's in every part of the world (generally speaking)?

To think something only affects a minority of people as a whole and no one else is nonsensical. The Civil Rights movement while made up and basically started by the Black community managed to include and expand to helping millions of others in other groups.

Diffusion always happens.

i was commenting on the fact that in my tiny town several of us noticed that a racial element was present in perceptions of this president
i see it in the way stories are reported
i see it in the medias attempt to show him as weak
it just seemed to us that an awful lot of codewords/buzzwords/callitwhateverthehellyouwant was going on
i am still a supporter

35. I have to say, when people were absolutely going off about
how he responded to charges that he's abandoned the Left, it seemed like a couple of comments fell just short of wanting to call him uppity.

As I've said, I would have liked a history of posts during the full Clinton terms to compare how the Left regarded him while things like NAFTA, Welfare reform and DOMA/DADT went into place.

I've already seen someone excuse Clinton for implementing DADT by saying they were sure Obama would have handled it worse.

He projected an interest in others that Obama doesn't have and a warm persona. He didn't publicly embrace republican policies and he didn't attack other democrats. Some of the stuff that Obama has done I was attributing to Rahm's influence, but I didn't see Rahm in the room yesterday, just Obama.

73. Obama always gave me with impression that he is surface only.
Not really interested in anyone beyond the 15 second photo op and prefers to keep people at arm's length; in reality more introvert that extrovert. Clinton gave people the impression that he was truly interested in them and what made them tick and was clearly an extrovert. Obama isn't really a people person. It doesn't come naturally to him like it did for Clinton. Its unfortunate but not surprising any more that what I said would be interpreted to be something else.

52. Any time I see "Inept" and "In over his head," I know I'm dealing with systemic racism
The guy has faced some of the worst crises in American history, and faced them down, but some white liberals will continue to "perceive" him as "socially promoted." They began this despicable gambit during the primaries, and kept it going through the sheer force of their racist assumptions. If it walks like a racist, and quacks like a racist, it's probably a fucking racist.

54. Exactly
It's interesting that when these folks disagree with a white politician, they at least assume that politician has some calculated, even if evil, motivations for his/her actions. Yet when dealing with President Obama, they immediately go to the "he's in over his head" argument. It's very telling.

Another interesting phenomenon in this debate is the notion that not only was he "socially promoted," but that he is not showing himself to be sufficiently grateful to them for "allowing" him into the circle - and that they have every right to smack him down for not being a good boy.

I have a long memory. And I remember that, no matter how upset people got with Clinton, how much he disappointed or didn't do what everyone wanted, he was NEVER subjected to this kind of sneering, condescension and outright insults from Democrats that President Obama - who is facing much more difficult political environment - is enduring.

63. Exactly right. It's very telling and increasingly obvious
It's bubbling to the surface.

EVERY critic and detractor here knows better than Obama. "Does Obama realize that..." is a preamble to some condescension to his inability to comprehend what is so clear to that poster.

But yes, worst of all is this attitude that these votes were almost "ownership papers" that allow them to scold the President when he isn't behaving the way they think he should. And to atone for his wrongdoing, the thing he MUST first do is publicly apologize to those he has offended before they will deign to bestow their approval on him via their vote.

53. I'm afraid I have to agree with angryblacklady. I'm beginning to wonder...
if some in our party (representatives and voters alike) are disingenuously using these so-called legislative failures/decisions (according to them) as cover to sabotage this president. Exactly what is the real reason why our Democratic reps and senators are so quick to continuously pick a fight and voice objection to this president? The focus and blame/anger should be placed on the Blue Dogs and Republicans. Surely, they know this.

64. Apparently it is OK to call large numbers of Duers ' racists'
but if you call them 'cheerleaders' you can get axed from the site.

It is all now becoming clearer and clearer what is going on here and across the land!

69. The President and members of DU are regularly called "homophobes" on DU
Is that cause for outrage? Is that also symptomatic of something "going on here"?

72. What else do you call someone who says gay people should not be able to marry?
Edited on Thu Dec-09-10 12:03 AM by Union Scribe
If you see someone on here saying black people shouldn't be allowed to marry or have other civil rights, please do call them a racist and point them out to me so I can, too. But calling DUers racist for expecting more from Obama isn't anything like the justifiable accusation of homophobia against him. Sorry.

Implying Democrats are racists because they disagree with you is, in itself, racist.

70. And you, as with many others, miss the point
Why do so many go out of their way to play victim? Not really the stuff of activism, is it?

"We're called names", "We're insulted", "We're trying to be silenced".

Counter to your oversimplified and incorrect interpretation, there are some specific 'red flags' in play.

No reasonable person would cry "racism" over simple disagreement.

Anyway, you're not getting it. And it's not what you think.
